I have found it hard to find the perfect Bible for kids in the 6 - 10 year old range.  They need a Bible that will hold their attention as well as stimulate their spiritual hunger.  They need to be able to read the words and understand them.  The children’s Bible that I have found is the NIrV Adventure Bible for Young Readers.

I have found NIrV Adventure Bible to enhance my grandchildren’s personal Bible study.  I’m sure that you will find it to become a Bible Classic for your children or grandchildren.

The 6 - 10 year olds can share in the love for God’s Word with The Adventure Bible for Young Readers.  Since this New International Reader’s Bible is designed especially for young readers, you will find that children who are ready to expolore the Bible on their own will find this to be the best possible for them.

They will find colorful illustrations and important facts and figures scattered throughout.  The Adventure Bible for Young Readers will instill a life-long habit of turning to God’s Word for guidance.

Finding the perfect gift for grandma and grandpa is no easy task, other than steering clear of technology.  Here are a few gift ideas for the elderly people in your family.

~Large print books; if their eyesight hasn’t waned, consider them very lucky!  Books with large print make excellent gifts for older people who have trouble reading, consider classic novels for grandpa, romance novels for grandma, or large print bibles for religious grandparents.

~Sensual Bath Products; bath soaps, salts, candles, and accessories will be welcomed by most any grandma who enjoys a relaxing soak.

~Enhanced Golf Driver; a great gift for improving grandpa’s golf game, it practically hits the ball itself!

Translating The Bible

Thursday, November 13, 2008

Vine’s-Exposite-DictionaryFor all those circumstances when you don’t know what measurement a cubit equates to, or what the heck ‘escheweth’ means, a bible dictionary is essential.  Reading the bible can be an enjoyable and life altering experience, but most versions are difficult to understand with their archaic language.  Owning a bible dictionary will allow you to both interpret words in English, but also look back to the original translations of words without learning Hebrew or Greek.  For bible study, this book is one hundred percent necessary.

The bible dictionary makes a great gift for bible enthusiasts, and kids who are reading and just beginning to understand the word of God.
