The New Bible Adventures

Monday, June 30, 2008

kids BiblesWhen I was younger, my parents utilized Hanna-Barbera’s “The Greatest Adventure: Stories from the Bible” video series to get me and my brother interested in the Bible. To some this may seem like a ruse, but thankfully, we took our interest in the word of God well into our adult life.

Now my own kids want to learn about Christ and his teachings. Since this show seems so dated and I prefer my children to read, I found some great kids Bibles online. One in particular is the “Super Heroes Kids Bible.” This one illustrates the virtues of the Bible so perfectly and is worded in a way that the kids can understand.

Perfect for School

Monday, June 30, 2008

student bibleMy son has just started his freshman year at a religious school and he needed to get an NIV student Bible for his introductory Christian classes. The prices at the bookstore at his school were unbelievably high. Luckily, I found a site that carries a wide selection of Bibles, including several different versions of the NIV Bible.

Because of this great selection, we found one that worked best for his class, which also works for his daily service.

Romans Tells Us How to Get to Heaven

Wednesday, June 25, 2008

Why can’t we go to Heaven?

We can’t go to Heaven because we have sinned. Romans 3:23 tells us “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
Sin is the bad things you do, knowingly or unknowingly. Sin is doing things against God’s Word and not doing what He directs
you to do.

If we can’t go to Heaven where will we go?
Because we are sinners, God tells us our punishment for sin is death in Hell. Romans 6:23 says, “For the wages of sin is death… “Revelation 20:14 tells us, ” And death and Hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.” Hell is an awful place to be and was made for the devil and his demons.

Then you ask, “How can we go to Heaven?”
God is such a loving God that he still loves us no matter how terrible our sins are. Romans 5:8 tells us, “But God showed His love toward us, in that, while were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Our loving God loved us so very much that He sent His Son, Jesus Christ to die on the cross for our sins.

Well, then, what should I do?
In Romans 10:9 we find “That if thou shalt confess with they mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, that thou shalt be saved.” God wants to “save” you from the punishment of Hell. All yo have to do is–believe, repent, confess, be baptized, and live a Christian (Christ-like) life and trust in God and He will take you to Heaven. Then you will live in Heaven with God and Jesus. Because of Their loving sacrifice and God’s making Jesus victorious over death, the grave and Satan–you will enjoy eternal life with Them. What a glorious reunion that will be!

Read the book of Romans from the Bible and get the whole picture. You will be amazed!

bible-blog-image.jpg

Is the Bible really the God breathed, inspired Word of God? Was the Word accurately preserved for thousands of years as a unique revelation from the Creator and Maker of our Earth?

The discovery of the truth about the Bible could really prove to you to be one of the most important and exciting adventures that you have ever decided to take. You will find that the Bible does reveal the true purpose of life.

Prophesies not only foretold the rise and fall of ancient nations; they explain the real significance of world events making headlines today and where those events are taking. We find that there are so many people in the world that are simply unaware of the discoveries that continue to confirm the historical accuracy of the Scriptures of God. Thus, the result is that millions of people are unaware of how the Bible is unique, and the amazing features that distinguish it from all the other religious books books published.

You need to read, examine, study, and divide the Word for the evidence for yourself. In the Scriptures you will find the evidence eye-opening and extremely informative. It can change your life!!

The more you read, study and learn about the Scriptures of the Bible, the more you are going to realize that you can believe the Bible. It has truly been inspired and preserved by a real God who is alive today!! The Bible is firmly based on the facts of history.
