I would like to recommend the NIV Teen Study Bible, what I believe to be the best Teen Study Bible available.  Kids age 12 - 15 need a Bible that they can read, understand and relate to.  The New International Version is now revised for a new generation.  If you are homeschooling your children, you find this invaluable as a resource. As an on-the-go teen, they are moving fast, but you are going to find that God is moving faster!!  The NIV Teen Study Bible will help your child keep in step with all he/she has done, is doing, and is going to do in the world—and in his/her life.

This NIV Teen Study Bible is totally revised.  It is the best-selling Bible to help your child discover the eternal truths of God’s Word and apply them to the issues they face today.   It tells them what God is saying to them personally.

You already know that this New International Version is the most read and most trusted Bible translation available today.

I have found the NLT2 Life Application Study Bible, what I think is today’s best-selling Study Bible.  This New Living Text 2 Life Application Bible has been updated and expanded.  In it I have found over 300 new Life Application notes with nearly 350 revisions and a Christian Worker’s Resource making the number one Bible even better.  To enhance the study is a Free iLumina software CD-ROM.

Studying the Bible is a complicated at times and I need many references to help me with the study and I find this NLT2 Life Application Study Bible with all of its updates to really “fill the ticket”.  I would encourage anyone wanting to understand the Bible better to use this Bible.  Send it to your favorite student.

The New Living Translation of the Bible is Easy to Understand

Thursday, January 08, 2009

nlt-logo.jpg

I have found that a translation of the Bible is to convey the meaning of the Ancient Greek and Hebrew texts as accurately as possible to the modern reader.  The New Living Translation is based on the most recent scholarship in the theory of translation.

The translators created a text that would make the same impact in the life of modern readers that the original text had for the original readers.  In the New Living Translation, this is accomplished by translating entire thoughts (instead of words) into natural, everyday English.  I find that the end result is easy to read and understand and it accurately communicates the meaning of the original text.

Lacking Time to Read Your Bible

Wednesday, August 13, 2008

nkjv-whole-audio-biblez_997585.jpg

Do you find yourself running out of time to read your Bible? I have found that the Audio Bibles really help me solve that problem. As I’m driving down the road I just pop a CD in my CD player. I enjoy the New King James Version narrated by Stephen Johnson, but there are many other narrators. The readings are word-for-word as in the written Bible.

Why not enjoy hearing the Bible while you are on the go? Using the New King James Version is faithful to the accuracy and beauty of the King James Version. Hearing the New King James Version in the contemporary and understandable language will feed your soul with spiritual food no matter when or where you listen to God’s Word.

Feeling tired and need refreshment? God’s word in the New King James Version narration will refresh you as you listen and unwind from a hectic day.

Easy to Read Relavent for Today

Sunday, July 20, 2008

the-new-living-bible-autoresizeimg.png

With some translations, it is hard to understand what the message is, but it is not with the New Living Translation. The last time that I was studying the New Living Translation, I forgot that I was reading the Bible because it sounded to me as if some one was telling me a story in today’s language.

Another reason that I appreciate the New Living Bible is that, when I am online with the daily devotional, I stay on track with God’s Word as it feeds my soul with the Bread of Life.

I appreciate the New Living Bible because this translation speaks to me in my language. The translators that worked on this fresh and inviting Bible not only have been faithful to original texts, but they have brought the Living Word of God to us in yours and my language as we remember the poetry and power of the Scriptures from our childhood. As I read the New Living Translation, I find God as my Friend.
